The course introduces students to the fundamentals of digital photography.
Expands student’s knowledge of digital cameras and photography.
Introduces multimedia presentations and industry standard software.
Includes a cumulative web based student portfolio.
Video Editing
Advanced Digital Photography
Advanced Digital Photo expands student skills of digital image capture, alteration, and photo manipulation.
Emphasis is placed on quality of image and visual communication.
Students master the elements of art and the principles of design.
Students are introduced to historical / professional examples for self-evaluation and reflection.
Students continue to develop a strong web based portfolio of work.
Concluding with the option to get ACE Certified in Photoshop CS6.
Video Production
The course provides students with the knowledge to create visual media products from start to finish.
Introduces student’s to video capture, import, and export.
Builds student understanding of video production.
Enhances reading, writing, and creative thinking.
Culminating with a DVD compilation of class work.
Concluding with the option to get ACE Certified in Premiere/After Effect CS6.
The course introduces students to the fundamentals of video production both in front of and behind the camera.
Students learn to produce morning broadcast announcements.
Students participate in various individual and group projects to develop skills.
Cumulative DVD of student work created for college and employment applications.
Concluding with the option to get ACE Certified in Premiere CS6.
Broadcast News
Acting
The course covers intermediate radio and television as mediums of mass communication.
Includes the history, development and structure of radio and television and the impact on society and culture.
Students work with broadcast equipment, creating a variety of news programs, including the Wolf Den News (WDN).
Students build on prior editing skills working with the Adobe CS6 Master Collection.
Cumulative DVD of student work created for college and employment applications.
Concluding with the option to get ACE certified in Premiere Pro CS6.
